Methodological Excellence in Data-Driven Approaches to Linguistics (MEDAL) is an international consortium initiated by the University of Tartu to develop and teach linguistic methodology.

In addition to the University of Tartu, the consortium brings together partners from the Netherlands (Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and Radboud University, Nijmegen) and the United Kingdom (University of Birmingham). European Commission funds the project through the Twinning instrument.

MEDAL particularly emphasises the development of early career researchers and students.
